France and the United States, both are working together on ‌a 21-day ceasefire plan. The purpose of this plan is to ease the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Recently, due to Israeli airstrikes, more than 600 people lost their lives. France’s foreign minister, Jean-Noël Barrot, said soon the proposal would come to light and compelled both sides to accept it quickly. This shows the complexity of the situation and the urgent need to stop the violence. Barrot also said that France and the United States are trying to urge both nations to find a solution. He believes there is still a chance of diplomacy if the war stops.

At the same time,  Antony Blinken, the Secretary of State of the US, said that America is working with other allies to decrease ‌tensions in Lebanon. This indicates that both countries are making efforts to fulfil their commitments to resolving the situation. If Israel and Hezbollah accepted the proposal, then it would be a great victory toward solving the conflict. It also brings peace across the region. So, the international countries want to end the war and de-escalate the crisis.

For the last 3 days, the US and its allies have been lobbying countries at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. They want different nations to support the ceasefire plan. Furthermore, ‌‌the US officials said secretly that this plan had a special purpose to stabilize Israel-Lebanon relations

The fight between Israel and Hezbollah has been ongoing for many months. This conflict forced thousands to leave their homes and raised worries about a broad Middle East war. The United States has positive hope that a ceasefire improves the situation and will prevent further escalation.

Biden’s key advisers, Jake Sullivan, Brett McGurk, and Amos Hochstein, have arranged meetings with Middle Eastern allies and Israeli officials. The objective of this conversation is to push for the proposal.

McGurk and Hochstein have led US talks with Israel and Lebanon since the October 7 Hamas attack, backed by Iran.

One of ‌Israel’s officials said that the nation will only support the plan if it makes sure the return of Israeli civilians to their homes. However, ‌conservations remain in decline and ongoing.

However, a Lebanese official asked for the peace deal very seriously, highlighting the hope for a ceasefire. According to officials, Hezbollah will not stop the conflict until a truce is established in Gaza.

He did not say his name, but he said that Lebanon does not agree with separating the problems in Gaza from those in Lebanon. He did not explain how they would deal with this.

President Joe Biden also said that war only brings disaster for both nations, so it is good to think about peace. Biden also suggested that accepting a ceasefire deal between Israel and Hezbollah may lead to preventing the Gaza war. The situation became out of control when Hamas attacked ‌Israel on October 7, 2023. This incident took the lives of about 1200 residents of Israel. In response to this attack, Israel attempted an attack that killed 41,000 Palestinians. This strategic number of deaths points out the urgent need for a resolution to this devastating situation.

According to Joe Biden,

“It’s possible and I’m using every bit of energy I have with my team … to get this done.”

He further added,

“There’s a desire to see change in the region.”

For several months, ‌the US and other nations have tried their best to create a ceasefire in Gaza and release the hostages from Hamas. But they failed. In response to it, the United States has put more sanctions on over a dozen ships and companies. Many illegal shipments have also been involved that help Iran’s Revolutionary Guard and Hezbollah.

After a passing few days, Israel was ready to attempt various attacks on the Lebanese people. This is because Hezbollah has launched many attacks.

However, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered the message of peace to both Israel and Hezbollah. He said a full war would be dangerous for both regions. Blinken believes that pulling back forces and making the area safe is the best way for people to return home.
