Two former US officials are making efforts to change the strategy of how the United States handles the Israeli-President’s conflict. For this purpose, they created a lobbying group and a political action committee (PAC). The employees of the State Department, Josh Paul and Tariq Habash, who was a policy advisor in the Department of Education, ‌resigned last year to protest Biden’s actions during the Israel-Palestine conflict.

They believe that many Americans do not support ‌Israel and never liked the idea of sending more weapons to Israel. However, politicians have not kept up with this shift in public opinion.

Their PAC, called “ A New Policy” will support candidates who pay attention to ‌human rights and fairness in this conflict. They want the Middle East, including Israel, to follow‌ US policies and respect ‌international laws. Their efforts highlight that they want every American diction to maintain a balanced approach to ‌US foreign policy, especially in the Gaza war.

This hard work expresses a great shift in how people view the United States’ involvement in this long-running war.

Many Muslims and Arab voters support Kamala Harris,  the Democratic presidential nominee, in the upcoming election. But after observing the strong Washington support for Israel’s military actions in Gaza and Lebanon, they think to change their minds and never vote in favor of Harris.

All of these voters were standing in favor of President Joe Biden in 2020, but now they are not happy about the US’ actions in the Gaza war. They think that the US strong support for Israel makes the conflict worse and longer.

Habbash points out that American voters are clearly expressing their worries and concerns.

They don’t want to support anyone who supports Israel’s actions in Gaza. Voters are also opposed to sending military aid such as weapons to Israel. This clear shift in ‌voters’ opinion has a big impact on the Democratic Party, as these communities may now oppose Harris. This opposition could lessen the chance of Harris’ victory in the upcoming US elections.

Many Muslims and Arab nations have forced President Joe Biden to support a permanent ceasefire. This is the only way to bring peace and make the situation better. On November 5, 2024, Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will face each other.

The US is one of the great supporters of Israel and provides them with huge military aid. The nations have helped Israel by giving it billions of dollars since October 7. This aid came to light after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7. This Hamas attack killed 1200 people and also kidnapped 250 others, based on reports from Israel.

This strong support for Israel threatens the world’s peace and has raised concerns among some Americans. They are worried about the impact of the peace and humanitarian situation in the area. In this growing conflict, a ceasefire becomes necessary. This is the only hope for lasting peace and a better future for all affected communities. The demand for change reflects the desire for a peaceful solution to the ongoing crisis.

The 2.3 million-person Gaza Strip has been ravaged by Israel’s continuous bombardment. It has become a wasteland as a result of the constant attacks, which have forced many locals to relocate. According to Palestinian health experts, more than 42,000 people have died as a result of the dire humanitarian situation. The urgency with which the world community must act is highlighted by this circumstance. Diplomatic efforts to promote peace and assistance for the impacted populace are urgently needed. In order to stop more suffering and fatalities, the terrible effects on civilians must be addressed right away.
