The United States government is trying to influence its allies to not accept the new resolution at the United Nations. This resolution ‌asks Israel to end its illegal occupation of Palestine’s territory, including the West Bank and Gaza Strip. On September 18, this resolution was presented and it came from the Palestine Authority. According to the latest report, the Biden Administration is trying to convince Australis to reject it. The US wants its allies to choose not to vote on the resolution or oppose it greatly.

However, the upcoming vote by the United Nations General Assembly is crucial. This is because it demands that Israel should prevent its illegal actions in the occupied territories within a year. This lobbying effort by the United States highlights its hypocrisy. The nation only supports Israel and in reality, never wants a ceasefire. It points out ‌how the US is influencing international decisions regarding the Israel-Palestine issue. It means that the US wants to alter the opinions of different nations about how to address this complex conflict.

Recently, the International Court of Justice gave the advisory opinion. This resolution is based on that opinion, which announced that Israel’s occupation of Palestine’s territories since 1967 is not legal.  It also called for the withdrawal of many Jewish settlers.

Palestine’s envoy, Riyad Mansour, recently gave a speech at the United Nations. This talk pointed out the severe danger that Palestine is facing for almost one year. He also blamed Israel for oppressing them. He reminded the UN General Assembly that every country has a vote and that the world is closely watching their actions. Mansour urged nations that stand in favor of the right side of history and support international laws, freedom and peace. His words highlight that Palestine needs ‌global support to end the war and get peace.

The call to action reflects the urgency of addressing the challenges faced by the Palestinian people and promoting a peaceful resolution.

After receiving more rights, including a seat among member states, Palestine presented a resolution to the United Nations. Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the representative of the United States, forced nations to not support the resolution. He highlighted that there are many flaws in the document, stating that it is not according to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) decision. Also, it fails to recognize Hamas as a terror group. At the same time, Israel’s UN representative, Danny Danon, asked different countries to oppose the resolution. He argued that the main purpose of the UN is to harm Israel through diplomatic means and mispresent the situation.

These reactions show the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, with each side presenting very different views. The disagreement over the resolution reflects the complicated political landscape at the UN, where efforts for peace often clash with strong political opinions.

A recent United Nations meeting received great criticism from Israeli officials. They claimed that this meeting was only focused on Palestine’s rights and forgot to discuss the excesses committed by Hamas on October 7 against Israel. He furthermore described gatherings as a place where wrong actions are never criticized and terrorism is celebrated.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz issued a warning to the Palestinian Authority (PA). He stated that if the PA continues its diplomatic efforts at the UN, it will face consequences. These efforts aim to challenge Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and support the establishment of a Palestinian state. Katz threatened to take steps to dismantle the PA if it persists in these actions.

This situation highlights the great complexities and difficulties ‌leaders face in finding a peaceful resolution. Both sides’ reactions reflect deep troubles. It also shows how political actions can impact efforts to bring peace across the world.
